Over the course of the past 20 years, the Nahirny Family have owned 5 new construction homes. While we had the opportunity with each purchase to customize the finishes within each home, in essence these were tract homes – one of several available models with a set number of upgrades available.
When the family decided to make the move to New Mexico, the search began for a suitable residence that would meet the needs of the 4 adult women that would live there. Our realtor showed us many beautiful homes, but for whatever reason, these resale homes just did not meet the needs of our family.
As we began looking at new construction homes, we happened to visit a model built by Rachel Matthew Homes. From the moment we stepped inside, we knew that “this is the builder we want to do business with.”
The attention to detail, the craftsmanship, the finish work, the design, every aspect of the home was of the highest quality. It was evident that the builder and his team took pride in their work.
We moved into our new Rachel Matthew Home in September 2008. We have been thoroughly pleased with the service we have received from every member of the Rachel Matthew team. Every single person we have had contact with during this process, from Steve Nakamura, to his staff at headquarters, to the sub-contractors, to the workers who have physically constructed our home, each and every one has made this experience incredibly easy. The service we continue to receive after settlement has been superb!

People warned us not to build a house. They said that we would disagree on design ideas and end up divorced.
Working with Rachel Matthew Homes, the opposite happened. Steve Nakamura and his crew were the best! Starting with working with Eric the designer. He helped us get our dream house on paper. Art and the boys followed the plan to a T and finished all the details to our specifications. Donny and the guys worked overtime to get the lighting just right and Veronica helped out whenever needed.
Of course, Steve overseeing it all made it run smoothly. Any issues that came up, Steve was there in a heartbeat to take care of it. The service since we have moved in has been great and we LOVE our home!

When my wife and I approached Rachel Matthew Homes in the summer of 2006 to build our new home, we knew it was the right decision. Mr. Steve Nakamura, the President of Rachel Matthew Homes, went out of his way to ensure that we got the right piece of land. Every phase of the design process involved our input. The staff worked with us closely and allowed us time to make decisions.
The house was finished on time as promised. The craftsmanship is excellent, the interior details are wonderfully done and the closing process was smooth.
